The Sapphire Hemispherical Dome is a high-performance optical component designed for demanding environments where durability and optical clarity are critical. Made from synthetic sapphire (Al2O3), it offers superior hardness (second only to diamond), excellent scratch and abrasion resistance, and outstanding chemical and thermal stability.

This dome provides excellent optical transmission across a wide spectral range-from UV (150 nm) to mid-infrared (5 μm)-making it ideal for use in infrared sensors, underwater cameras, laser systems, aerospace instruments, and high-pressure optical applications. The hemispherical shape allows for a wider field of view and minimal image distortion, especially in dome-mounted systems.
