How to choose cuvette?
1.Waveband: Visiable waveband- glass cuvette
Ultraviolet waveband -UV Fused Quartz Cuvettes
Infrared waveband-IR quartz cuvette
- Path length ( the distance between the two surface): path length 1-100mm( normally 10mm)
- Cuvette Volume(volume of sample):
- 3.5ml-35ml -standard volume cuvettes (Flat shape)
- 0.35ml-1.7ml- semi micro cuvettes (Slit shape)
- Under 200ul- sub-micro cuvettes(Choose a neutral height of 8.5mm or 15mm according to the distance from the light source to the bottom of the cuvette)
- Transparent surface: Normally there will be 2 or 4 transparent surfaces; The single or three transparent surfaces one can also be customized.
- Internal structure: Flat shape cuvettes, Slit shape cuvettes, sub-micro cuvettes, special shape cuvettes.
- Techonolygy of production:
1). Cuvette by cemented techonology: available for the testing of common aqueous solution, not resistant to high temperature, the glued surface is transparent.
2). Fused silica integrated cuvette : available for the testing of acid-base organic solution, resistant high temperature, the glued surface is crystal milky white.
7. Customized: please contact us for the size of the cuvette before place the order. After the delivery, it will not be returned or exchanged due to problem of size.
How to use and clean the cuvette?
- Instruction of slit shape cuvette: When testing, please note that the light source should be aligned with the slit, otherwise the results of test will be effected.
- Instruction of plug cap cuvette: there is a slip of paper between the plug and the cuvette, please make sure the paper be reinserted when the test is over, otherwise the plug will be difficult to remove because of the small air pressure of inner space. If the paper is lost, you can cut your own paper to the appropriate size and replace it. Don't force the plug to break the internal structure of cuvette.
- Instruction of screw cap cuvettes: airtightness (cap<plug< screw), with high airtightness, and reagents are extremely volatile, the sample can be injected into cuvettes.
- Cleaning of the cuvette: After the test, pour out the reagent and rinse with distilled water, put it upside down, and let it dry. The viscous liquid can be wiped with a small cotton swab dipped in medical alcohol and then washed with distilled water.
The life cycle of the cuvette: The test residue attached to the inner wall of the cuvette will affect the experimental test effect, so the cuvette needs to be replaced regularly.
Notes: The cuvette is an experimental consumable. Due to the complicated specifications, no warranty is provided. Please change it regularly.
