The cone lens is a cylindrical rod lens with one end processed into a tapered surface. The circumference of the rod is usually ground, while the tapered element is polished. The cone lens is designed for a variety of laser and imaging applications. The addition of this product line is part of an ongoing effort to support the current miniaturization trend. Conical lenses can be used for 360-degree lighting and imaging applications.

Sapphire rod properties and applications:

1.  High transparency to light with wavelengths between 0.3 μm (UV) and 5 μm (IR),

2. It is extremely hard and resistant to strong acid erosion.

3. It is highly scratch-resistant.

4. Has an extremely high melting temperature (2030 °C).
